We conducted an awareness program on childhood cancer yesterday in the annual function of “Roti Kapda Foundation”. Children from our Home away from Home (HAH) participated in the awareness program and did awareness activities. Former Dy chief minister and member of parliament Dr. Dinesh Sharma honored the Varsha Foundation for working on change for childhood cancer. All the children were also honored in the programme.

“Childhood Cancer is curable”

Holi, the festival of colors, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at HAH. Flowers of different colors and fragrances were used in this festival. No chemical colors were used, instead herbal Gulal was used. All the families thoroughly enjoyed the day, it was a very emotional moment as we all know that these families were not able to visit their hometown and missed their family and siblings. We tried our best to ensure that they don’t feel that they are away from their hometown.
All the children were given gifts and toys, everyone enjoyed food together, ate sweet Gujhiya, danced and had a lot of fun.
Special thanks to Mr. Harsh Khanna ji who had a great time at HAH and participated in the Holi celebration at HAH.

Feb month is an international childhood cancer day. Yesterday, we celebrated ICCD awareness program in HAH. Dietitian, counselor, social worker, and HAH staff participated in celebration, delivered speech and message given that childhood cancer is curable.

I am very happy to say that like every year, this year also in the Home Away from Home (HAH), Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp. Children suffering from cancer and their families live in this house. This home is run by the Varsha Foundation and has been serving children suffering from cancer for the last 5 years. On this occasion, Dr. Nishant Verma, who is treating these children at KGMU Hospital, also came and hoisted the national flag with these children. A puppet show was organized, which the children enjoyed watching. Delicious and nutritious lunch, gifts, and toys provided to the children. Everyone enjoyed the celebration, really it was a memorable day. I am sharing a few pics and clips. Please have a look at them.

New year celebrated in Home Away from Home (HAH) running by Varsha Foundation for the children suffering from cancer and their families at Lucknow with full of joy.. delicious food, lots of permitted enable items, gifts etc. May almighty God bless all the children healthy life..and cure them.

I am thrilled to share that yesterday Christmas 🎄 day was celebrated yesterday in the HAH a home for the children suffering from cancer running by Varsha Foundation..full entertainment, giving of joy, gifts 🎁 from Santa 🎅..warm clothes to all the children and their families at in this chilling weather.. an awareness program..dance..fun.. party.. memorable day.

Today Sri Sathya Sai Sewa Organisation, lko and Varsha Foundation organised a blood donation camp at Hari Om Mandir to facilitate donation of blood to poor children suffering with cancer.

Members of Inner Wheel Club of Lucknow Baradari very enthusiastically participated in the camp. They donated 6 units of blood for our children.

Varsha Foundation staff also participated in the camp and donated blood for this noble cause.

May this blood save precious lives of children fighting cancer.

Childhood cancer is curable

Varsha foundation in collaboration with Inner wheel club of Lucknow Baradari celebrated Children’s day at Pediatric surgery department of KGMU.

Dr. J.D Rawat, Head of the department and addressing the audience is the PRO VC of Kgmu Dr. Apjit Kaur. The Chief Guest appreciated the services being rendered by our foundation. (click here for more details)

The gala celebration was appreciated by the entire doctor fraternity and the pediatric ward was very intricately and beautifully decorated and the campus bore a festival look.

आज HAH में दिवाली खूब धूमधाम से मनाई. यह बच्चे अपने घर नहीं जा सके पर HAH में ये कमी इनको मेहसूस ही नहीं होने दी. लगा ही नहीं कि ये अपने घर नहीं हैं.. एक बार फिर HAH ने सार्थकता सिद्ध कर दी आज.

We celebrated Dushehra in HAH. Children could not go their home towns, missing their siblings in that situation we tried to fill gap and made them happy. see how these are happy.
