The objective of the programme was to spread awareness about cancer, eliminate common myths associated with the disease, and encourage patients and attendants to face cancer with unity, courage, and a positive attitude.
Social worker, counsellor, project manager provided detailed information on what cancer is, its causes, common symptoms, and the importance of early awareness. Participants were encouraged not to fear cancer, but to confront the disease with determination while ensuring emotional support and care for patients.
A dietician addressed the participants and explained the importance of proper nutrition and personal hygiene during cancer care. Guidance was provided on maintaining adequate nutrient levels in the body, including haemoglobin (HB), proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, which play a vital role in strengthening the body to fight cancer.
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which patients and attendants actively participated and raised cancer-related queries. All questions were answered enthusiastically, making the session informative and engaging.
