Celebration of Shri Krishna Janmashtami at HAH

Yesterday, our Home Away from Home (HAH) in Lucknow was filled with smiles, prayers, and happiness as we celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami with children battling cancer, alongside their parents and attendants.

For most of us, festivals mean going home, meeting our loved ones, enjoying food together, and celebrating with family. But for children fighting cancer, life is a little different. Because their treatment must continue without interruption, many of them cannot return home during these special times. They miss their parents, siblings, friends, and the warmth of their own home.

This is exactly where HAH steps in to become their sanctuary and home.

We try our best to ensure that no child feels alone or deprived of the simple joys of childhood. During the event, the children and their families enthusiastically worshipped Lord Shri Krishna, enjoyed delicious and nutritious food, and received special gifts. Their beautiful smiles reminded us once again that a little love, care, and togetherness can bring immense happiness to a child’s life.
